About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Advanced Modality at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Interventional Radiology Mallinckrodt Dept. New grads, upcoming grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists and experienced Technologists welcome to apply!!! No Experience Needed! We will train!!! This role involves working independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures, preparing patients and equipment for procedures while assisting the radiologist, and performing image post processing and circulating procedures. The hospital is a large, nationally ranked institution with renowned radiologists and advanced technology.

Requirements

Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
No IR Tech experience necessary willing to train
Xray techs wanting to cross-train in Interventional Radiology
Upcoming Graduation Radiology students

Responsibilities

Work independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures
Prepare patients and equipment for procedures while assisting the radiologist
Perform image post processing and circulating procedures
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
