About The Position

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Physician (Anesthesiology or Physiatry) to join their dynamic, mission-driven team. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience and values respect, excellence, patient access, compassion, and healing. The established department includes three physicians and four nurse practitioners, supported by fluoroscopic C-arm procedures, radiology technicians, two electrodiagnostic lab rooms, and a dedicated space for osteopathic manual medicine. Collaboration with a strong physical therapy team, on-site X-ray, and collegial support from radiology, orthopedics, and local neurosurgeons are available. This role offers opportunities to develop a diverse practice including ESIs, RFAs, nerve blocks, ganglion blocks, PNS, and joint/soft tissue injections. Requirements

  • Current license to practice in the State of Iowa
  • Board certification in applicable specialty within five years of residency training, fellowship ra waiver approved by the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clinical skills
  • Provides direct service to patients within inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • Seeks consultation from other specialties when appropriate.
  • Provides ongoing supervision and consultation to assigned mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students
  • Participates in departmental call schedule as assigned.
  • Participates in medical education programs as assigned.
  • Participates in meetings and committees of the Medical Staff as assigned in order to further the mission of the Medical Center.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives for the organization as related to practice.
  • Completion of medical records is accurate, timely, and legible.
  • Clinical practice patterns reveal efficiency of resource management with no departure from established patterns of clinical practice using evidence based medicine when appropriate.
  • Appropriate education of patients and families regarding a documented plan of care.
