Interventional Cardiologist
About The Position
Prime Healthcare and Central Maine Medical Center are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing cardiovascular program in Lewiston. This opportunity offers the ability to practice within a collaborative, physician-focused environment while serving a broad regional patient population across central Maine. The incoming physician will join an established cardiology team with access to advanced cardiac services, experienced clinical support staff, and a strong referral network. Candidates with a patient-centered approach and strong interventional skills are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maine
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- New graduates and experienced physicians welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including coronary angiography, PCI, and coronary stenting
- Provide inpatient consultative services and outpatient cardiovascular care
- Collaborate with cardiologists, hospitalists, APPs, intensivists, and ancillary staff
- Participate in shared call coverage schedule
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with quality standards
- Support evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
