About The Position

Learn It Systems is seeking a Certified Teacher to work in K-8th grade classrooms. This is a part-time opportunity (10-15 hours/week) with a pay range of $30-35/hour. The role involves joining a growing, interdisciplinary team focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children. Potential positions include specialized areas like art, music, physical education, health, family & consumer sciences, and technology education, as well as certified special educators, ESL teachers, and reading and math specialists or interventionists. You will be part of an educational team including a supervisor and fellow educators, working with a diverse student population virtually and/or in person. This team collaborates with Non-Public Schools in Delaware County to deliver high-quality education services. The position requires collaboration with school personnel, program supervisors, school administrators, classroom teachers, and parents. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering effective instruction, maintaining accurate records, effective classroom management, and providing a safe and positive learning environment. Teachers are also expected to attend staff meetings and complete administrative tasks promptly. The role serves Non-Public Schools in Delaware County, with teaching hours Monday-Friday during school hours.

Requirements

  • Valid State of Pennsylvania Primary or Secondary teaching certificate required.
  • Classroom teaching experience required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Work location is in a school building where employees will need to be able to go up and down stairs when holding in-person sessions.
  • Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head when holding in-person sessions.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have reliable internet and a working personal computer with updated software and web-camera.
  • Must have hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer, as well as experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suites, Zoom/Meets, and other Ed Tech platforms.
  • Must be a self-starter and complete basic tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with various educational technology platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility are preferred.
