About The Position

Our Lady Help of Christians School, Earlville, is seeking a Full-Time, Permanent Intervention Teacher - Learning & Teaching. This role involves supporting the Principal and staff in maintaining high expectations for student learning progress and achievement. The teacher will work within whole-school initiatives to address diverse student needs through a culture of inclusiveness, focusing on the holistic growth and development of each student. The Intervention Teacher enhances teacher capacity and effectiveness through strategies such as modeling high-quality teaching and learning, mentoring, coaching, professional learning, and collaboration. This role is pivotal in supporting teachers to deliver improved educational outcomes consistent with the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns Strategic Directions, School Annual Improvement Plan, and other key system and school strategies. In collaboration with the school leadership team, the role holder will analyze data to contribute to school-level decisions and initiatives that are responsive to student needs. Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.

Requirements

  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers

  • Support teachers within the school to ensure the delivery of improved educational outcomes for students is consistent with the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns Strategic Directions, School Annual Improvement Plan and other key system and school strategies.
  • In collaboration with the school leadership team, analyze data to contribute to school level decisions and initiatives that are responsive to the needs of students.
