About The Position

SANY is excited to announce the opening of Intervention Support Specialist-MATH (Grades 5-7) for Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School for the 2026-2027 academic year. We need Teachers who will provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum, which is designed to meet the state's core educational standards. The role requires a strong understanding of Common Core standards and state learning standards, with the ability to modify/redesign/develop curriculum as needed. Collaboration with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods is essential. Teachers will prepare students for standardized tests relevant to the content area, possess excellent content knowledge and pedagogy, and utilize analytics and data to drive instruction and promote learning. The position values regular feedback, accountability, and rewards for serving students and communities, along with strong classroom management skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• NYS Certified Required
• Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred
