About The Position

St. Michael School is seeking an Intervention Specialist for the 2026/2027 school year. The primary goal of this role is to assist students in mastering curriculum skills and information while fostering their growth in faith and responsibility. This position contributes to the integration of Catholic teachings and virtues, supports faith formation and student learning, and creates Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students. The role involves understanding student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting diversity, knowing and understanding instructional content, using varied assessments to inform instruction and evaluate learning, planning and delivering effective instruction, and collaborating with students, parents, educators, administrators, and the faith community.

Requirements

  • Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach.
  • Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks.
  • Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught.
  • Religious Education certification as required by the diocese.
