About The Position

BrightBee is seeking Intervention Specialists in the Reynoldsburg, OH area to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs across K–12 settings. These opportunities may include Mild/Moderate Intervention Support, Moderate/Intensive Classrooms, Autism Support Programs, Behavioral Support Classrooms, Inclusion & Co-Teaching Environments, and Functional & Life Skills Instruction. This role is ideal for educators passionate about individualized instruction, relationship building, and fostering student growth academically and emotionally.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Intensive) OR Candidates actively pursuing licensure with strong special education experience may still be considered depending on assignment needs
• Must pass BCI/FBI background checks
• Ability to support students in active classroom environments
• Comfortable working with students with behavioral and/or emotional support needs
• Ability to occasionally lift or assist students as needed in classroom settings
• Must have a smartphone with a compatible operating system (Apple or Android)
• As an independent contractor, you are required to enable location services while using the BrightBee app.
• Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with IEPs
• Support students academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and intervention strategies
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, teachers, related service providers, and families
• Track student progress and maintain documentation aligned to IEP goals
• Help create safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environments
• Support students through transitions, emotional regulation, and daily routines
