About The Position

Riverside Magnet School, a growing early childhood and elementary school located in East Hartford, CT. We are actively searching for a full-time Intervention Coordinator for our Elementary grades l to join our dynamic team of educators for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The Intervention Coordinator focuses on enhancing teacher ability to provide tier two and tier three instruction that builds student understanding and skills, is academically rigorous, addresses the curriculum standards and framework, and enhances student engagement in and ownership of learning. The Intervention Coordinator, together with school administrators and classroom teachers, looks at student work and designs standards based, high-quality instruction. The Intervention Coordinator serves as a member of the building leadership and data teams working to align district and building goals and to evaluate student data in support of effective school improvement planning. The Intervention Coordinator will lead and manage the instructional coaching functions of the school with a specific focus around SRBI and the multi-tiered system of supports.

  • Experience in analyzing data to plan for instruction.
  • Demonstrated strength in organization, and efficiency in meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Content knowledge, strong knowledge of best pedagogical practices, knowledge of the curriculum.
  • Strong background in math, science, literacy and the Science of Reading.
  • Knowledge and ability of evaluation systems and the ability to provide clear and actionable feedback.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the MTSS and SRBI systems.
  • Knowledge of Common Core Standards, CT Early Learning and Development Standards, and CT DOTS.
  • Experience in analyzing data to plan for instruction and create individualized student intervention plans.
  • Ability to build strong positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance teacher ability to provide tier two and tier three instruction that builds student understanding and skills, is academically rigorous, addresses the curriculum standards and framework, and enhances student engagement in and ownership of learning.
  • Work with school administrators and classroom teachers to analyze student work and design standards-based, high-quality instruction.
  • Serve as a member of the building leadership and data teams working to align district and building goals and to evaluate student data in support of effective school improvement planning.
  • Lead and manage the instructional coaching functions of the school with a specific focus around SRBI and the multi-tiered system of supports.
  • Analyze data to plan for instruction and create individualized student intervention plans.
  • Develop standards-aligned assessments-both formative and summative.
  • Support teachers in development of differentiated lessons.
  • Model lessons demonstrating best instructional practice.
