This position provides support to schools with intervention and serves as a member of the district Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) team. The role focuses on increasing the quality and effectiveness of interventions by utilizing evidence-based practices, modeling targeted instruction, identifying successful interventions, and expanding teachers' use of resources. The coach will support a tiered system of instructional interventions, collaborate with teachers on formative assessment, facilitate interventions in the classroom, and assist in evaluating ongoing interventions. Additionally, the role involves working collaboratively with school leadership teams to design, implement, and assess Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), fostering a positive school culture around coaching, and identifying/supporting teacher leaders. The coach will also act as a thought leader in the district regarding instruction, ensure student achievement data drives intervention decisions, assist in data disaggregation, facilitate student work analysis, and design/support job-embedded professional learning.
