About The Position

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of Interprofessional Simulation programming at Clarkson College. This position coordinates Interprofessional Simulation Center (ISC) usage collaborating with the College and community constituents. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining an Advanced Simulation certification, managing all day-to-day operations of simulation lab and equipment, and developing and implementing simulation activities for students, employees, and external constituents. This role requires creating a learning environment that is conducive to interprofessional activities across departments and is inclusive of all technologies at the College (i.e., MultiTaction wall, virtual reality, anatomage table, 3D printing, etc.). Close collaboration with the Center of Teaching and Learning, the Professional Development department, and the Registrar are essential.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college in education or health-related fields
  • Minimum two (2) years of higher education teaching experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a simulation environment or conducting simulation activities
  • Interprofessional education and collaboration experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate as part of a team with diverse constituents
  • Demonstrated capabilities in customer service, project management, and strategic prioritization
  • Ability to work in a consultative role with a broad range of constituents, including outside vendors, academic departments, interdisciplinary faculty committees, and College staff and leadership
  • Self-starter and team-builder; able to set clear expectations

  • Advanced Simulation certification
