Interns will contribute to projects, learn from experts, and develop valuable skills in an innovative, collaborative setting, working closely with technical teams.

Requirements

  • Educational institution must credit or certify your internship toward a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Relevant work/internship experience.
  • Knowledge of French required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and threat monitoring to support operational security and the integration of controls into IT projects.
  • Apply knowledge of risk analysis and control frameworks to support the implementation of security practices that comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Help monitor discrepancies identified during physical security audits, participate in drafting strategic and practical governance documents, carry out assessments of physical security measures and continuity plans, and produce internal documentation for security components.
  • Develop visual reports and make recommendations to respond to the needs of internal partners while rolling out operational monitoring tools, structuring information, analyzing performance indicators, and designing dashboards to support team reporting and efficiency.
  • Provide advice to business sectors on personal information protection matters, conduct legal research on cybersecurity laws and regulations, analyze and apply security clauses in contracts, assess compliance with legal requirements, and assist lawyers in preparing files.
  • Help develop opinions and implementation plans in accordance with the rules of the discipline, carry out preliminary research and analysis, and use comprehensive knowledge of the business line to help clients and partners manage complexity.
  • Diagnose issues and needs to define target outcomes, analyze information and conduct studies to propose recommendations and write reports, help develop and implement objectives and action plans, contribute to data valorization for internal and external investigation validations, and support investigators in complex files or projects.
  • Develop communications action plans and initiate deliverables to raise awareness of DGSO security standards to key players, provide training and support DGSO officers, and assist project delivery across Desjardins Group.
