About The Position

The Architecture & Engineering Design Intern supports the planning, design, and construction of theme park attractions and facilities. This role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and creative teams to coordinate documentation, contribute to design development, and assist with construction integration. The intern gains hands-on experience through research, presentations, site visits, and exposure to multidisciplinary project workflows. Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Skillset includes Drafting, 3D Modeling, Sketching, Illustration
  • Software proficiency with Forma, Revit, Navisworks
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Forma (formally Autodesk Construction Cloud)

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile attraction, architectural, and site information to support concept development, planning, and project coordination activities.
  • Coordinate attraction concepts alongside architectural and show designers, engineers, and other related disciplines to support cohesive project execution.
  • Generate and revise 3D models, architectural renderings, presentation graphics, and 2D CAD/Revit drawings or sketches as needed to communicate design intent.
  • Assist in the development of design documentation, drawing sets, and project deliverables through various phases of design and construction.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, coordination meetings, and project workshops with creative, technical, and construction teams.
  • Support required field observations, site walks, and construction progress reviews to help identify design integration issues, verify existing conditions, and assist with solution development in both active construction and operational environments.
  • Document existing field conditions, track construction progress, and coordinate field verification information with project teams.
  • Assist with review and coordination of consultant drawings, shop drawings, submittmits, and design revisions under team supervision.
  • Support project scheduling, meeting documentation, and coordination tracking to help maintain project organization and communication.
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
