About The Position

This role provides hands-on experience in turning creative concepts into fully realized guest experiences. As part of the Facility Design & Construction team, the intern will collaborate with designers, engineers, and contractors to support the architectural and engineering design and construction management of new attractions and facilities. Gain exposure to the end-to-end attraction development process, from design through active construction in the field. Assist with the preparation and coordination of design and construction documentation, capturing key details about attraction layouts, operations, and maintenance requirements. Work with multiple disciplines and trades to ensure that design intent is translated into successful built environments. Contribute to design reviews, site walks, and field coordination activities that directly support attraction delivery. Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Experience with design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, or similar.)
  • Understanding of design and construction.
  • Coursework in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities—able to adapt designs or plans when faced with real-world construction challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management or Related Fields
  • Experience with other mark up or quick visualization software (Bluebeam, SketchUp, or similar.)
  • Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and ADA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile attraction information to facilitate design and planning.
  • Coordinate attraction concepts alongside architectural and show designers, engineers, construction management team, and other related disciplines.
  • Generate 3D models as well as 2D CAD drawings or sketches as needed.
  • Organize and prioritize collaboratively and effectively.
  • Support field observations, progress, and integrate solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation (drawing sets, specs, schedules).
