About The Position

This is a 12-week fieldwork assignment for students enrolled in an accredited OT or OTA program. The intern will be responsible for completing evaluations, assessments, and developing intervention plans for clients with SMI conditions. Students will lead groups and engage with clients one-on-one. The assignment will be performed onsite for 40 hours per week, with potential for remote assignments as directed by the clinical instructor. The learning model includes 1:1 training/mentoring, collaborative engagement with other interns, and interprofessional engagement with other disciplines/departments. Students are expected to have robust engagement for the duration of the 12 weeks.

Requirements

  • Be an enrolled student in an accredited OT or OTA program
  • Have been pre-selected by the Sheppard Pratt OT via collaboration with the school
