About The Position

Interns will work with the Technical Sales team to support sales management and field salespersons from headquarters. This role will provide the opportunity to communicate with our Special Missions Sales team and potential customers regarding aircraft sales and marketing matters.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office products
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Acts with customer expectations and requirements in mind
  • Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
  • Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
  • If a position requires access to information controlled under U.S. regulations applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.

Responsibilities

  • Works with IT to further develop the Special Mission Configurator tool.
  • Collaborates with Special Mission Sales and Capabilities Development to identify commercial off-the-shelf solutions that can be added to the Configurator tool.
  • Responds to sales inquiries for question resolution within target four hours of initiation.
  • Leads projects to improve Special Mission Sales support procedures including presentations, competitive analysis and data collection.
  • Responsible for coordinating sales training, and for ensuring that the Sales team is aware of current and planned Special Missions capabilities.
  • Communicates to sales personnel specific information regarding competitive products.
  • Maintains a complete knowledge of special missions systems, capabilities, and suppliers.
  • Researches supplier offerings to keep abreast of changes that affect our competitive posture.
  • Prepares meaningful reports for dissemination to the sales organization and management on new developments in special missions.
