About The Position

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking expressions of interest for internship opportunities for the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 period. These paid internships are available across various STEM and other fields for both undergraduate and graduate students. Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals on real-world projects, contributing to INL's mission in nuclear energy research, science, and national defense. While this form is for expressing interest, an official application must be submitted for specific internship postings when they become available. INL offers opportunities in areas such as Nuclear Science & Technology, Energy & Environment Science & Technology, National & Homeland Security Science & Technology, and various Support Organizations including Business Management, Communications, and Human Resources. Internships are hired year-round on an as-needed basis, with postings typically open for 14 days.

Requirements

Complete an official application when positions become available.
Be a full-time student at an accredited college or university (undergraduate, graduate, PhD).
Possess a minimum overall 3.0 Grade Point Average.
Possess authorization to work in the U.S.
Be able to pass a background check.
Males born after December 31, 1959 must have registered with the Selective Service System (SSS).
