About The Position

This is a great opportunity to work on a cutting-edge technology like Type-C and USB-PD. Infineon offers an overview solution in this space. The role involves developing and customizing firmware for reference designs and Infineon USB-PD controller solutions, validating firmware and hardware against customer requirements, and performing interoperability and compliance tests for USB-C and USB-PD ecosystems. Additionally, the role includes writing application notes and example usage guides, debugging interfaces and power circuits using lab equipment, and documenting test results and findings.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Practical experience in embedded system design, microcontroller programming, and board bring‑up preferred
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, power supplies, and common bench instruments
  • Familiarity with USB, USB‑PD, Type‑C, I2C, SPI, UART and related protocol troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of analog circuits, switching regulators, LDOs, DC‑DC converters, and power distribution debugging is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize firmware for reference designs and Infineon USB‑PD controller solutions
  • Validate firmware and hardware against customer requirements and functional specifications
  • Perform interoperability and compliance tests on reference and customer designs for USB‑C and USB‑PD ecosystems
  • Write clear application notes and example usage guides for Type‑C and USB‑PD applications
  • Use oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and other lab equipment to debug interfaces and power circuits during bring‑up
  • Record test results, log issues, and communicate findings to engineering and product teams
