About The Position

Baird’s Operations Department (“Ops”) plays a critical role in the success and growth of the firm by partnering with various business units and functions to drive efficiencies and reduce risk. The Commissions and Advisory Billing team specifically supports both advisory and brokerage businesses by managing processes that ensure advisors are compensated accurately and timely. As an intern, you will assist with processing commissions statements and helping financial advisors with inquiries regarding policy and commission payments. This internship requires full-time commitment during the summer (37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) and part-time commitment during school semesters (15-20 hours per week), all within our downtown Louisville, KY office. We are looking for a local student who can begin in January 2027 or earlier.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, business analytics, economics, information technology management, information systems, or related degree preferred
Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and manage priorities to meet specific deadlines
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
Strong client service, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills

Nice To Haves

Interest in technology such as coding (ex. SQL, VBA) and visualization tools (ex. PowerBI) a plus

Responsibilities

Assist with processing commissions statements
