About The Position

The Internet Sales Manager manages digital business prospects by contributing to the internet car buying experience. They develop a connection with prospective customers primarily via internet and technologically based channels. Responsibilities

  • Studies the dealership's customer base and the automotive retail market in the area to develop effective programs for soliciting internet business.
  • Pull inquiries from our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and respond to inquiries via phone, text, chat, or email based on potential customer's expressed preference.
  • Serve as the first-level expert on our products and services and the purchase process.
  • Construct and perform presentations to improve the dealer Internet sales process acumen of the OEM and dealership sales staff.
  • Convert inquiries to dealership visits.
  • Manages and structures deals.
  • Sells/leases and delivers a minimum number of units per month.
  • Assists customers in selecting vehicles.
  • Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.
  • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Attends product and sales training as requested by sales manager.
  • Attends sales meetings.
  • Set appointments for test drive and further selection/purchase support.
  • Adhere to customer communication scripts.
  • Analyze the current dealership Internet sales landscape and consult with senior Regional/Area and dealership personnel regarding strategy, tactics, roles and responsibilities.
  • Drive consistent adoption and utilization of the retailers existing technologies.
  • Ensure 100% of contact activity, by recording customer information in the CRM in real time.
  • Develop/maintain relationships with related store personnel.
  • Meet, or exceed, individual performance objectives e.g., response time, conversions etc.
  • Is directly responsible for managing designated employees, including but not limited to hiring, policy and procedure execution, time and attendance management, disciplinary proceedings, and the disbursement and enforcement of training and information per SOAG policy, procedures, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
