About The Position

Field technicians install fixed wireless internet service in residential and commercial buildings. Additionally, they are dispatched to address service calls as they arise, switch out equipment when new upgrades are available, as well as disconnect equipment when necessary. Field technicians are the face of the company and so they are personable and have great face-to-face customer service skills. Field technicians think outside-the-box when problem-solving and are able to find multiple solutions to a single problem. Many technicians develop specialties and certifications in certain areas, such as relays, telescopic pole installs, or business installs. Our field staff are the core of operations for the entire company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Maintain a clean, courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Physically able to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Physically able to climb ladders to rooftops while carrying tools & equipment.
  • Physically able to work outside during all types of weather conditions.
  • Mechanical experience including the use of hand tools, cordless drill, saw, socket set and crimpers.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, routers, and switches.
  • Basic understanding of networking and internet addressing.
  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving or safety record.
  • Meet 275lbs weight limit due to safety restrictions.
  • Able to work independently & efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (which includes testing for marijuana/THC).
  • Provide a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

  • Two years technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Driving to multiple locations daily.
  • Gaining access to customer roof with a ladder.
  • Using provided equipment to test for adequate signal strength.
  • Mounting equipment on customer's roof, then running a cable from the roof to a desired location inside the building.
  • Addressing service calls as they arise.
  • Switching out equipment when new upgrades are available.
  • Disconnecting equipment when necessary.
