About The Position

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a mid-level International Trade Compliance (ITC) professional to serve in a dual Export Control Coordinator capacity within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area supporting the Sikorsky line of business. This role combines export licensing and compliance oversight, acting as a primary point of contact for assigned programs. The ECC will collaborate with program teams, operations, legal, and functional stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient international trade operations under ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and related regulatory frameworks. The individual will also support digital transformation initiatives, process improvements, and compliance risk management across RMS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with, understanding, and applying U.S. export laws and regulations, specifically the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements as they relate to international trade programs, products, processes, and activities
  • In-depth knowledge of the ITAR and EAR and CBP requirements
  • Knowledge of export and import licensing processes
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply complex government regulations, including ITAR, EAR, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and CBP requirements
  • Ability to develop strategies to mitigate risk and enforce compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to be considered for an Empowered Official role
  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts and detailed knowledge of ITAR exemptions / EAR exceptions
  • Working knowledge of INCOTERMS
  • Familiarity with government contracting practices
  • Experience with SAP/GTS or similar trade compliance management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor personnel responsible for international trade compliance activities
