About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Global Trade Analyst - level 2 to join their team. This position will report to the Manager of Global Trade of the Launch and Exploration Division. The role involves providing guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, working with various functional areas to determine export/import needs, preparing and submitting necessary authorization requests, and assisting the Global Trade Manager in developing and implementing compliance strategies. The analyst will also present in meetings, train others, and respond to questions related to export/import compliance. Additionally, they will support corrective action implementation and negotiate export/import control issues. Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds, and delivers space, defense, and aviation-related systems globally, including launch vehicles, missile products, satellites, and aerospace structures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts. Or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts.
Basic knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Export Regulations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of Customs/Census, FAR/DFARS, TINA and other US Government Regulations.
Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts and associated scope of work and requirements.
Knowledge of and proficiency with DESCARTE OCR EASE Export & Import Global Trade Compliance Software.
Experience providing training to export licensing personnel and functional requesters.
Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Providing guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), Anti-boycott Regulations, US Census and Customs Regulations.
Working with various functional areas (Contracts, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Engineering, New Business, etc.) to determine their export/import needs.
Preparing and submitting necessary export/import authorization requests required to support international programs and managing all post approval activities such as recordkeeping, reporting requirements, approvals for data exports and international shipping authorizations.
Assisting Global Trade Manager to develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Formally presenting in meetings, training environments and responding to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors related to export/import compliance.
Supporting corrective action implementation and negotiating export/import control issues with internal and external customers and resolve issues in a win/win manner.
