About The Position

The International Trade Associate, under direct supervision, helps coordinate and plan export processes, validate customs documentation, and follow up on shipping and receiving of foreign merchandise to help ensure timely arrival. The role also participates in validating the need for import licenses and completing monetary transactions associated with export execution in a timely manner.

This position is in Cargill’s Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine reviews of export trade execution risks and raise documentation, contractual, operational, or regulatory concerns in line with the organization’s risk appetite.
• Support assigned physical commodity export trade flows by following operational steps aligned with contractual terms, internal execution standards, and product line or trading desk strategies.
• Assist with preparing, reviewing, and maintaining export trade documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual, customs, and origin and destination regulatory requirements.
• Review contract clauses for operational executability and raise legal, fiscal, or regulatory questions for review.
• Coordinate routine information with customers, suppliers, cross-functional teams, and other business partners to support timely execution of assigned trade flows.
• Maintain trade execution information, support operational metrics, and flag execution issues for appropriate review.
• Help coordinate and plan export processes, validate customs documentation, and follow up on shipping and receiving of foreign merchandise.
• Participate in validating the need for import licenses and completing monetary transactions associated with export execution.
