About The Position

Our Toronto office is looking for Co-op or Intern Students to join the International Tax team for a 4-month opportunity starting in January 2027. This is a net new role and responsibilities will include applying relevant technical knowledge acquired through tax courses to assignments under the direction of a manager or senior tax team member. The role involves completing personal tax returns, contributing to compliance projects, and working on other assigned tax tasks following standardized BDO procedures. Requirements

Currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting
A desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork
Proven leadership skill and can take initiative to seek understanding
Display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Apply the relevant technical knowledge you have acquired through your tax courses and apply it to assignments under the directions of a manager or other senior tax team member.
Complete personal tax returns, contribute to compliance projects, and work on other tax assignments assigned following standardized BDO procedures.
Develop project management skills by providing senior tax team members with timelines and status updates, monitoring the individual time spent on each file and reporting any concerns on the file that might impact these items.
Build client relationships through communication, client contact and responding to client requests.
