About The Position

Hexcel is seeking an International Tax Manager for its Stamford, CT, USA location. This role reports to the Director of International Tax and involves a wide range of international tax activities, including tax provision, compliance, transfer pricing, audit defense, and planning. The manager will monitor U.S. and international tax law changes, assess their impact on Hexcel, identify opportunities, and proactively manage future tax exposures. The ideal candidate will possess strong international tax technical knowledge, a collaborative and team-oriented approach, the ability to manage priorities independently, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of relevant international tax experience in Big Four public accounting, a multinational corporate tax department, or a combination of both.
  • Hands-on experience with a Big Four or comparable U.S. international tax modeling platform used to calculate GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Section 163(j), foreign tax credits, and other international tax attributes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ONESOURCE or comparable tax compliance and provision software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, as necessary.
  • Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
  • knowledge of OneStream financial reporting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the quarterly and annual international tax provisions for non-U.S. entities in compliance with ASC 740, in coordination with local finance teams.
  • Oversee U.S. international tax compliance filings, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and related tax returns and supporting documentation.
  • Manage U.S. international tax calculations, including GILTI, FDII, Subpart F income, foreign tax credits, Section 163(j), and other international tax provisions.
  • Lead the Company's OECD Pillar Two compliance program, including jurisdictional modeling, effective tax rate analysis, Safe Harbor evaluations, GloBE reporting, and coordination of required filings.
  • Manage foreign tax compliance requirements, including maintenance of the global tax filing calendar and coordination of local filing obligations.
  • Manage transfer pricing compliance, including coordination and review of Local Files, Master Files, and Country-by-Country reporting, as well as oversight of intercompany service fee and royalty calculations.
  • Support FATCA, FBAR, and other international information reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the Director of International Tax to identify, evaluate, and implement international tax planning initiatives.
  • Support treasury-related tax matters, including cash repatriation, intercompany financing, and loan arrangements.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to junior staff, including work assignment coordination, review of deliverables, and technical training.
  • Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and tax processes to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all tax processes by proactively identifying and implementing enhancements to processes, controls, reporting, and technology.
