International Tax Accountant
About The Position
Hughes Network Systems, an EchoStar company, is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join their Financial organization. This role will support Hughes Network Systems, as well as the larger EchoStar and Dish teams with international reach. The team plays a vital role in supporting innovative ideas with creative financial solutions, offering opportunities to explore diverse business lines and gain hands-on experience in accounting, audit, and supply chain management. The Tax Staff member will assist with annual tax filings, tax projections, and quarterly tax reporting, working under the supervision of senior staff/managers to prepare accurate tax returns and maintain detailed financial records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-4 years of experience in tax preparation
Nice To Haves
- Progress toward CPA certification or licensure is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) and tax software like [OneSource/GoSystem/CorpTax]
- Visa sponsorship not available for this role
Responsibilities
- Prepare U.S. international, local foreign, and pillar 2 tax returns for a variety of foreign jurisdictions
- Assist in preparation of quarterly tax reporting requirements including 10K and 10Q
- Perform tax research to resolve tax issues and identify legal deductions to maximize tax savings
- Reconcile financial documents and prepare audit-ready work papers
- Organize and update company financial records using (excel, CorpTax, Teams, and SharePoint)
