About The Position

An International Support Specialist provides customer service and internal employee service pertaining to foreign exchange, foreign wire transfers, and hedging contracts. Responsible for generating daily and monthly reports for the foreign exchange portfolio, monitor metrics and measure performance. Additionally, work with portfolio FX Traders to resolve any resulting issues or discrepancies. Responsible for back-office functionalities of FX platform, such as settlements, confirmations, reconciliations, customer inquiries, new customer onboarding, and other affiliated systems. Input and manage daily foreign exchange rates into online banking platform. Responsible for dedicated FX portal including demonstrations for new and prospective customers, maintenance, onboarding, and customer service. Process outgoing and incoming foreign wire payments. Responsible for timely resolution related to client inquiries, transaction activity issues, and wire investigations. Process daily journal entries and monthly eCertifications of Nostro, general ledgers, and miscellaneous accounts. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. Requirements

  • 1-3 years — Work experience in banking or Operations, preferably Foreign Exchange Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of banking and/or international products and services.
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized and accurate (strong attention to detail).
  • Ability to work under pressure and under tight timelines.
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office suite, SWIFT, Foreign Exchange platforms.
