About The Position
Counselors at the International Summer Music Institute supervise students (including minors) in dorms and as they move between events and classes. They may also provide instructional or administrative support to camp instructors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in music or closely related field
- Recommendation by UNT faculty member
- Understanding of standard violin and string chamber music repertoire, with a respect to teach students at a variety of levels.
- Experience advising and mentoring students within an academic setting.
- Professional orchestral performance experience.
- University teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Check-in and checkout day campers.
- Oversee classes and assist instructors.
- Lead students to meals and rehearsals.
- Participate in performances.
