International Shipping Coordinator
About The Position
Coordinate and execute domestic and international transportation. Ensure on time delivery of all shipments through carrier selection and scheduling. Maintain compliance with all existing federal DOT and International regulations, guidelines and procedures for export controls. Complete and supervise the documentation process including Invoices, NAFTA certification, hazardous material, shippers export declarations, bills of lading, International Airway bills, packing slips and shipping instructions. Provide necessary direction for on time delivery, packing reqts, loading of trucks and safe and damage free execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is required with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in Import-Export Operations and Customs processes
- Extensive knowledge US import-export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements and international logistics and shipping requirements is required
- Must have demonstrated full-cycle program management capability in developing, implementing, and managing process solutions to complex export-import related issues
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US
Nice To Haves
- Professional Customs Certification/Accreditation in U.S. or Licensed Customs Broker is preferred
- Direct industry knowledge of Electrification Products or the Electrical Industry is a plus
- Experience/ familiarity using Global Trade Systems (SAP GTS Module) is preferred
