About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will enter data for shipping/receiving orders and work with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to invoicing, shipping, and on-hand counts in the warehouse. This role ensures the accuracy of transaction documents for incoming/outgoing material and evaluates shipments for adherence to all state, federal, and global restrictions. The coordinator will serve as a resource manager system (SAP) expert on the team, schedule transportation for truckload and less than truckload shipments, and assist the department in loading/unloading of trucks, scanning, and tagging as needed. Additionally, the role requires adherence to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations, providing process and safety improvement ideas, and using the principles of 5S+ to ensure a clean and organized work area. The position also involves driving and maintaining forklifts through daily inspection checklists and performing 5S+ housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes.
  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to follow procedures and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and bend frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using SAP, warehouse management system.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
