Role Purpose (Position Scope) The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing technical and commercial role responsible for driving customer engagement, supporting business growth, and ensuring successful execution of customer requirements across the organization. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this role serves as a primary liaison between customers and Canyon’s engineering, operations, customer service, and leadership teams. The Sales Engineer combines technical aptitude, relationship management, and commercial awareness to support both existing business and new growth opportunities. This individual works closely with customers throughout the sales and product lifecycle — from opportunity identification and proposal development through implementation, training, ongoing support, and issue resolution. The role requires the ability to understand customer operational needs, translate those needs into actionable business and technical requirements, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable business outcomes. The Sales Engineer also supports strategic growth initiatives through market analysis, customer feedback, and participation in business development activities.
