About The Position

This job is only available to students who qualify for Work-Study. The work study student provides administrative, logistical, and promotional support to the International Programs Office. This role serves as the primary initial contact for students interested in global learning, assisting with event coordination, marketing initiatives, and daily office operations.

Requirements

  • Organization skills.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office.
  • Cross-cultural interest is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Canva, Instagram, or video editing tools.
  • Prior participation in a study abroad, exchange, or international travel program.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, answer phone and email inquiries, schedule advising appointments, route messages, and maintain physical and digital file systems.
  • Design promotional materials (flyers, social media graphics, newsletters) using tools like Canva; manage official social media accounts to highlight featured programs and student stories.
  • Assist staff in planning and executing campus-wide events, including the annual Study Abroad Fair, pre-departure orientations, info sessions, and classroom visits.
  • Input applicant data into tracking software, organize promotional brochures, process passport photo requests (if applicable), and track office inventory.
