This position is a multi-functional position within International Academic Programs (IAP), a unit in the International Division, that serves as the central study abroad office at UW-Madison and coordinates study abroad programming across campus. IAP administers more than 300 campus-wide study abroad and domestic study away programs and internships, and annually sends over 3,000 UW-Madison students abroad. Exploration Advisors are a first point of contact for domestic students on study abroad opportunities. In this role, Exploration Advisors advise domestic students on opportunities, academic policy, and requirements for international study for academic credit, and in support of the goal of preparing them for the global and interconnected world. They also assist in providing guidance for international students on navigating institutional and academic policy and requirements. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Study Abroad Advising and will operate in a hybrid format where some work will be performed in-person, onsite, in Madison, WI, and some work will be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus location. Positions will have shared workspaces.
