You are a strategic advisor and a jurisdictional expert with a proven track record of helping global customers navigate high-stakes complexities in the APAC region. You are consultative, proactive, and passionate about turning nuanced challenges into actionable solutions. You are comfortable solving open-ended, high-risk problems and serving as the final authority on complex APAC employment and Employer of Record (EOR) practices. You build trust easily, collaborate across teams, and advocate for customers while strategically mitigating risk for the business. As an International Consultant, you are the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Justworks’ international customers. While the Support Specialist team handles tactical platform navigation and payroll inquiries, you focus on the complex moments—including jurisdictional separation guidance, international benefits strategy, and global regulatory compliance in the APAC region. You own the strategic relationship for customers expanding into diverse international markets, ensuring they maximize the value of Justworks' global offerings while maintaining total compliance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing international HR role, ideally with deep expertise in APAC and the EOR space.
  • Proven track record of managing strategic conversations and complex global customer HR scenarios with minimum of 2 years managing complex customer-facing issues in EOR.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and consultative skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Knowledge of HR technology and international employment compliance across multiple regions.
  • Comfortable collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to drive customer outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to multiple countries/regions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Zendesk, and Notion is a plus.
  • Multilingual fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a definitive subject matter expert for EOR services across diverse APAC markets, maintaining deep knowledge of varying regulatory environments.
  • Act as the primary advisor for complex APAC compliance requirements, providing strategic recommendations on cross-border employment nuances, terminations, and local labor standards to mitigate global risk.
  • Partner with Legal, Product, and Operations to interpret global industry trends and regulatory shifts, directly influencing international product-market fit and go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner with Customer Success to manage high-value accounts, addressing sophisticated, territory-specific needs that require advanced jurisdictional expertise.
  • Act as the final point of internal escalation for inquiries that cross into complex compliance or high-liability HR territory, such as intricate leave scenarios and country-specific benefits.
  • Proactively identify EOR expansion and upsell opportunities, guiding customers through the strategic complexities of entering and scaling in new international markets.
  • Drive retention and growth of existing customer base through an education-based approach.
  • Translate complex international regulations and processes into clear, actionable guidance for customers and internal partners.
  • Operate independently while contributing to team knowledge and scaling best practices across the organization.
  • Utilize deep global knowledge to advise customers on legally sensitive and region-specific paths forward.
  • Serve as the voice of the specialized customer to ensure Justworks’ international infrastructure meets the needs of complex, multinational organizations.
