The U.S. Chamber of Commerce offers a substantive internship for current college or graduate students and individuals who graduated within the past six months. Interns receive hands-on experience supporting a department and may work in research, writing, database management, policy, communications, and event preparation. The program also provides professional-development and networking opportunities, including company-wide meetings and social events, discussions with senior executives, and resume-review and interview-preparation workshops. The internship is expected to run from February 1 through April 9, 2027. It is paid at $18.00–$20.00 per hour, and students may receive academic credit if they meet their school’s criteria. Interns work a part-time hybrid schedule and must be in the downtown Washington, D.C., headquarters at least three days per week; fully remote applicants will not be considered. Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing if needed. Interns will be matched with one of the International & Global Policy teams: International – Europe, International – Asia, International – Americas, or the Global Intelligence Desk. Work varies by department and may include research, drafting memos and other content, event planning and coordination, stakeholder or member communications, and database management. Applicants should indicate their top two department preferences. U.S. work authorization is required; candidates with CPT and/or OPT may apply.
