About The Position

Nordfab is seeking an Internal Transportation/ Material Handler for the 1st shift, working from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Saturday as needed for production requirements. This role involves transporting materials between two sites located less than half a mile apart. The primary responsibilities include driving a flat-bed and box truck, loading and unloading various items, moving materials to and from storage and production areas, and utilizing computer systems for inventory management. The position requires a valid driver's license and involves working in a production environment with moderate noise levels.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include Close vision.
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Pallet Jack, Hand Jack, Forklift.

Responsibilities

• Transport material between 2 sites, less than 1/2 mile away from each other.
• Drive flat-bed and box truck between buildings and outside warehouse to ensure necessary parts are available for daily production.
• Load and unload trucks with loose items, pallets, and boxes, verifying all parts are identified and labeled correctly.
• Move items to and from storage, point of use, and picking locations.
• Transfer components parts from QF or XD to their point of use work cells and communicate to the work cell supervisor or team lead.
• Move angle flange rings to storage racks and place them in designated locations.
• Use computer and/or handheld scanner to systemically move items in AX and ASTRO, transferring parts to correct inventory locations.
• Use computer tablet to monitor Teams chat for specific requests.
• Assist in unloading third-party trucks with Pallet Jack, Hand Jack, Forklift as needed.
