About The Position

Chapel Hill Tire is seeking an Internal Staff Recruiter to attract and hire talent for their growing automotive team. This role is ideal for someone local to the Chapel Hill / Research Triangle (RDU) area with recruiting experience who understands proactive sourcing and relationship building. The position offers flexibility and can be either Part-Time or Full-Time. The role involves a hybrid work environment with initial training primarily in person, and in-office days for collaboration, orientations, and meetings. Some recruiting events will also require in-person attendance.

Requirements

  • Recruiting or talent acquisition experience
  • Strong candidate sourcing and networking skills
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple openings and candidates
  • Familiarity with the Research Triangle talent market is preferred
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft-based applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, curious, and able to work independently
  • Dependability - Requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
  • Stress Tolerance - Ability to handle setbacks with patience, accept constructive feedback, and stay open to learning.
  • Integrity - Must be honest and ethical and treat customers and coworkers like family & do what you can to be grateful and helpful in & out of your role!

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting in automotive, skilled trades, or similar industries is helpful but not required
  • Brings fresh ideas to the table and isn’t afraid to thoughtfully challenge the status quo

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source candidates through recruiting platforms, social media, referrals, networking, and other creative methods.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates, particularly automotive technicians, service advisors, and other hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build and maintain candidate relationships for current and future openings.
  • Conduct candidate outreach through phone, text, email, and recruiting platforms.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ideal candidates.
  • Conduct initial candidate screens and coordinate interviews.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting pipelines.
  • Represent Chapel Hill Tire at recruiting events and within the local automotive community.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding processes as needed.
