About The Position

Chevrolet of Milford, CT seeks an Internal Service Advisor to manage the service process for used vehicles, trade-ins, and dealership-owned cars, ensuring their transition to the sales lot. This role is internal and non-customer-facing, requiring close collaboration with the Service, Parts, Sales, and Used Cars departments. The primary goal is to ensure that inspections, repairs, and reconditioning are performed efficiently, accurately, and are properly documented in the DMS. Availability on Saturdays may be required.

Requirements

Knowledge of the used and new vehicle process.
Knowledge of Service Advisor duties.
Ability to perform clerical duties as needed.
Ability to manage internal vehicles from beginning to end.
Ability to monitor the location of all inventories throughout several locations.
Saturday availability may be required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with XTIME/ASR/DMS Reynolds & Reynolds systems.

Responsibilities

Writing internal service repair orders for used cars.
Creating estimates for used car repairs and reconditioning.
Dispatching internal repair work to technicians.
Arranging for sublet repairs when necessary.
Maintaining and creating XTIME/ASR/DMS Reynolds & Reynolds estimates for Used Car Manager approval.
Writing warranty PDI repair orders for new stock units.
Coordinating with sales managers and service manager on repair/maintenance cost estimates.
Adhering to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation.
Following up on repair progress and keeping sales and service managers informed.
Inspecting repair quality to ensure all work is completed.
Keeping the Service Manager informed of all problems and potential issues.
Opening and closing repair orders.
Creating proper estimates.
Physically inspecting vehicles with technicians.
Managing workflow, including creating pictures and videos of repaired vehicles.
Monitoring the location of all inventories across multiple locations.
Managing internal vehicles from the initial service request to completion.
