About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, systems-oriented Internal Sales Manager to lead order management, logistics coordination, and ERP data integrity within a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who thrives on managing high-volume workflows, improving processes, and driving cross-functional alignment between Sales, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Logistics. You bring strong leadership capability, ERP expertise (preferably SAP), and the ability to execute with precision while continuously improving operational efficiency and customer experience. This is a high-impact leadership role with direct influence on customer satisfaction, operational performance, and system integrity across the organization. You will play a critical role in supporting SAP optimization, improving order-to-delivery execution, and building scalable processes that enable business growth. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in order management, logistics, or sales support within manufacturing/distribution
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and WMS platforms
  • Strong understanding of transportation, dispatch, and warehouse operations
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume transactional workflows
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Operations, and Logistics

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of customer orders from entry through fulfillment
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing, inventory allocation, and shipping details
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on order processing and execution
  • Partner with Sales to prioritize orders and resolve issues
  • Manage daily inbound and outbound shipment scheduling
  • Coordinate delivery appointments, dock assignments, and loading timelines
  • Optimize routing and transportation utilization
  • Align shipment volumes with warehouse labor planning
  • Serve as primary liaison with carriers and third-party logistics providers
  • Monitor shipments and proactively address delays or disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with shipping documentation and requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve freight efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain ERP and WMS data accuracy and reporting reliability
  • Standardize processes for order entry, scheduling, and logistics coordination
  • Partner with IT to support system enhancements and automation
  • Ensure visibility into order status and inventory allocation
  • Act as escalation point for customer inquiries and issue resolution
  • Provide proactive updates on order status and delivery timing
  • Drive a high level of customer satisfaction through responsiveness
  • Lead and develop order entry and logistics coordination teams
  • Establish and monitor KPIs (order accuracy, on-time delivery, efficiency)
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvement initiatives
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
