The Internal Retirement Plan Counselor plays a critical role in helping investors save for retirement. This position involves collaborating with peers in the field and financial advisors to identify new opportunities for American Funds, developing and executing critical territory coverage, synthesizing and presenting information, and initiating sales through personalized outbound calls to promote American Funds and proprietary recordkeeping solutions. Requirements

Have a bachelor’s degree
Be well spoken and upbeat with sales experience
Thrive in team settings
Ask great questions, bounce ideas off others and proactively share your perspective
Have an interest in developing an in-depth understanding of the defined contribution marketplace
Must hold the FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) in order to apply
Must hold or obtain the Series 7, and 66 (or equivalent) upon hire
