About The Position

The Internal Registry RN provides safe, direct patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is accountable for the care of assigned patients and works within the scope of practice and established standards of care. The role includes guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a 12-week internal registry contract with an opportunity to extend, based at St. Francis Hospital in the Float Pool.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

Previous acute care hospital experience.
Ventilator management experience.
Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
