About The Position

Fameccanica is hiring an Internal Quality Control Technician in West Chester, Ohio. The technician ensures that only high-quality, compliant components are used in production by inspecting incoming materials, verifying supplier documentation, identifying and containing nonconforming material, and supporting supplier performance and corrective actions. The role involves risk-based inspection informed by part criticality and supplier performance, and requires collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality. The position is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with standing for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, and up to 10% travel potentially required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing.
• Experience using precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.
• Experience with nonconformance reporting and quality systems.
• Supplier quality or outsourced manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FAI, CMM, ERP/MRP, or QMS.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming parts using visual checks and precision tools.
• Verify supplier documentation, including CoCs, material certificates, and FAI/CMM data.
• Identify nonconforming material, create NCRs, and ensure containment.
• Apply risk-based sampling based on part criticality and supplier performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes.
