About The Position

The primary function of the Internal Process Auditor is to accurately evaluate and improve JASPER's overall Quality Management System and to facilitate the continual improvement and development of our Associate-Owners, our processes, and our culture. This individual will join the Process Control Team, whose mission is to develop and maintain systems that impact overall product quality, the safety of our Associate-Owners, and production efficiency. Some regularly scheduled travel is required, as this team is responsible for evaluating all of JASPER’s Southern Indiana facilities as well as our facility in Willow Springs, Missouri.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey findings and recommendations are required.
  • Excellent relationship development and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and leadership are required.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to discern how micro-level details align with macro-level organizational priorities are required.
  • Versatility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the automotive or remanufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with auditing practices aligned to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training or facilitate group learning sessions.
  • Prior involvement in cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of production and support areas in accordance with JASPER's Quality Management System, based on the ISO 9001 Standard and Lean Principles.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures, control measures, and workflow efficiency.
  • Document evaluation results and write clear, concise audit reports.
  • Teach and train Leadership and Associate-Owners in supported departments on the fundamentals of ISO 9001, including QMS201.
  • Follow up on audit findings and action plans to ensure necessary corrective actions are taken and sustained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop corrective actions and implement process improvements based on audit outcomes.
  • Work closely with departments to drive continuous improvement related to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Apply the principles of ISO 9001 to improve product quality and support operational excellence.
