Requirements

  • Three to five years of Internal Medicine post residency clinical experience
  • Core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
  • A minimum of 3 years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Active involvement in research and scholarship (publications, presentations, etc.)
  • Mentorship experience of residents and students in scholarship and development of scholarship programs

Nice To Haves

  • Inpatient and administrative experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • General administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of the IM Residency Program
  • Establish the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such
  • Support integration of the IM Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education
  • Provide some inpatient and outpatient services related to hospitalist and/or the resident continuity clinic
