About The Position

The Internal Medicine Physician provides medical services within the defined scope of clinical privileges and contractual obligations. This role involves reviewing patient consultations, medical records, and physical assessments to evaluate suitability for various assignments or duties. The physician will also review electronic medical reports and results, enter progress notes, and utilize electronic systems for patient management. Analyzing medical conditions based on diverse evaluations and reports, integrating findings into comprehensive clinical assessments, and providing appropriate consultations and referrals for further diagnosis and treatment are key aspects of this position. The role also includes conducting Independent Medical Reviews (IMRs) upon request, participating in committees and administrative tasks as required, and performing other duties consistent with the responsibilities of a physician as directed by the relevant authority.

Requirements

  • One year of experience within the last two years as a physician or in an internal medicine setting OR have successfully completed the Family Practice or Internal Medicine residency program within one year to applying for this position.
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
  • Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
  • Board certified OR board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Current BLS through AHA.
