About The Position

Erie Family Health Centers is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to provide full-scope primary care at various sites throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. Erie is a community health center serving more than 80,000 diverse patients at 14 locations in Chicago and the northern suburbs. The organization provides holistic, affordable care regardless of patients’ insurance status, immigration status, or ability to pay. All Erie sites qualify for NHSC with a HPSA score of 21.

The physician will work alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team and may have opportunities for education, leadership, research, advocacy, and career growth. Erie partners with nearby hospitals to help patients access imaging and specialty care regardless of ability to pay. The salary range is $190,000–$220,000; compensation within the range is based on experience, skills, and education.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Licensed physician in Illinois.
• Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics.
• Federal DEA license.
• Illinois physician’s license.
• Interest in and comfort with working with a diverse patient population.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or interest in learning medical Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing comprehensive primary care alongside an interdisciplinary health care team.
• Partner with hospitals close to Erie health centers to offer patients imaging and specialty care regardless of their ability to pay.
