Internal Medicine Physician (IM)
About The Position
An established, patient-focused primary care practice in Skowhegan, Maine, is hiring an Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adults in Central Maine, a community of more than 30,000 residents. The position is 100% outpatient, with no pediatrics or obstetrics and approximately 16 patients per day. Phone call coverage is required. The practice uses Meditech EMR and accepts J-1 visa candidates. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Compensation includes a base salary of $245,000–$312,000 and an additional bonus opportunity. Benefits include a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, medical insurance with no employee out-of-pocket premium, dental and vision insurance, and hospital and clinic services covered at 100% through a healthcare discount program. Employees receive seven weeks of accrued PTO plus seven federal holidays, a $4,000 CME allowance plus dedicated CME days, an employer-funded pension plan, and a 403(b) with up to a 5% employer match. Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Hold or be eligible for a clear and active Maine medical license.
- Hold or be eligible for a current DEA license.
- Be comfortable providing comprehensive outpatient primary care to adults.
