About The Position

Diagnoses and provides nonsurgical treatment, primarily for adults, for a range of problems that affect internal organs and systems. Applies a variety of diagnostic techniques to treat patients through medication, therapies, and/or hospitalization, and helps patients care for their health. Applies knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties of a physician in providing medical care; responds to emergency and nonemergency patient situations; assesses the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed; completes patient care forms and documentation; adheres to all policies and procedures relevant to providing medical care to patients. Other duties may be required in order to provide medical care in performance of the job.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, or the equivalent foreign degree.
  • If qualifying by an equivalent foreign degree, must have a certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
  • Equivalent foreign degree must be determined by a qualified education evaluation agency.
  • Active Oregon medical license, or eligibility to obtain such license.
  • For Medical Doctors, completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 & 3.
  • For Doctors of Osteopathy, Comprehensive Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA).
  • Completion of a US medical residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification or Board eligibility for Internal Medicine.
