The Physician will report to the Chief Medical Officer for clinical matters and the Hospital Chief Executive Officer or his or her designee for administrative matters. This role involves providing professional medical services on a full-time basis to patients of assigned hospital(s), including rounding and consultations. The Medical Director will collaborate with facility leadership, staff, and other practitioners to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies and procedures. They will also help identify, evaluate, and resolve medical and clinical concerns affecting patient care, quality of life, or the provision of services by healthcare practitioners. Responsibilities include performing prompt, courteous, and competent professional services, maintaining complete and accurate medical records, and potentially performing administrative services. Patient care duties encompass conducting physical exams, taking histories, diagnosing and treating adult diseases, managing chronic conditions, providing preventive care, ordering/interpreting tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, performing procedures, explaining diagnoses and treatment options, referring patients to specialists, coordinating integrated care, and staying updated with medical research through continuing education.
